Carlsbad Virtual Office

A Virtual Office starts with a local or toll free telephone number.
Now you're in business…barely.

Customers and prospects can call your Carlsbad Virtual Office number and leave a message. But, customers don't call a business to leave a message. They call to speak with someone, now.

By adding “Find Me – Follow Me” your Carlsbad Virtual Office will call you, at any number, and connect your callers to you, live. And with optional free Call Screening, you'll decide which calls to take, and which to send to voice mail.

New: Callers can listen to Your Company's “On-Hold” Message, while they wait to be transferred.

You can sound even bigger, when your Carlsbad Virtual Office answers with an Auto Attendant. Callers might hear “Thank you for calling [your company]. If you know the extension number of the person you're calling, you may enter it at any time. For Sales press 1, Technical Support press 2, Billing press 3, etc. or Press 9 for the Dial by Name Directory”, even though all calls and departments are transferred to you!

When you don't take calls live, callers can leave a voice mail message. Each person and department can have their own private voice mailbox. Your Carlsbad Virtual Office can then call you and deliver the message to you and send the message to your email, so you can hear it over your computer, or any Internet device. You can also be notified by pager.

That's great, but you're still not done. Every business needs to be able to receive Faxes. Your Carlsbad Virtual Office number can be set to automatically receive faxes, or you can add a separate number for faxes only. Faxes are delivered to your email, where they can be viewed, printed, forwarded, saved or discarded.

The original inhabitants of the area now known as Carlsbad were the Luiseño people. One of their villages was Palamai, which was located near present downtown Carlsbad. The Luiseño people today live on one of the many Indian Reservations near Palomar Mountain. Much of Carlsbad was part of Rancho Agua Hedionda, it means "Stinking Water". This thirteen thousand acre ranch was granted to Don Juan María Marrón in eighteen forty-two. Some of the original ranch houses are now incorporated in modern buildings. Carlsbad started as a whistle stop on the new California Southern Railroad. In the eighteen eighty, John Frazier, another former ship's captain, dug a fresh-water well that came to be used for thirsty locomotives. The stop became known as Frazier's Station. Frazier dug another well that produced mineral water. The water was analyzed and found equal in mineral content to one of Europe's most popular health spas--Karlsbad, Bohemia. Carlsbad was later renamed "Carl" for a time because it often was confused  with Carlsbad, New Mexico on train schedules. After popular demand the former name was restored. Carlsbad borders between two lagoons, Buena Vista on the north and Batiquitos on the south. Buena Vista and Batiquitos lagoons are a major way station for birds migrating up and down the coast. It is home to many birds and other wildlife, including some endangered species. Buena Vista Lagoon two hundred sixty acres was created by glaciers slicing through sandstone formations twenty thousand years ago, forming canyons twenty to forty feet deep. The lagoon today is one to six feet deep over three to five feet of mud. Batiquitos Lagoon includes 1/3 mud flats and salt marsh. The remainder is seasonal--sometimes shallow water and sometimes dry, barren salt flats. In the center is a saltwater lagoon, Agua Hedionda, which has facilities for boating, skiing, and other water sports. Agua Hedionda lagoon was originally a salt marsh. It was dredged and channelized in the nineteen fifties. The lagoon includes mud flats, salt- and freshwater marsh, and deep water. Carlsbad is a mixed use community of homes and businesses. Carlsbad Village, downtown, is a popular area for shopping. The beaches are popular for sunbathing, BBQs, and surfing. Inland, surrounding Palomar Airport, are several high-tech industries. Several resorts offer golf and tennis, but the most famous is La Costa Resort and Spa.
