In Edgewood there are eight thousand, two hundred ninety-nine households out of which forty-four percent have children under the age of eighteen living with their parents. Edgewood is census-designated place (CDP) in Harford County, Maryland, United States. The population is twenty-three thousand, three hundred seventy-eight based on the two thousand census. The average household size was three and the average family size was four. In the CDP the population was spread out with thirty-two percent under the age of eighteen, nine percent from eighteen to twenty-four, thirty-three percent from twenty-five to forty-four, twenty percent from forty-five to sixty-four, and six percent who were sixty-five years of age or older.
